KEBIJAKAN EKSEPSIONALISME AMERIKA DALAM MEDIA ONLINE VOICE OF AMERICA & THE STRATEGIST

Media Massa merupakan salah satu sumber informasi yang dianggap dapat dipercaya dalam memberitakan suatu informasi dan pemberitaan. Media Massa juga mempunyai kekuatan yang dapat mempengaruhi dalam pembuatan kebijakan luar negeri suatu negara. Di Amerika Serikat, media Massa dianggap sebagai sumber informasi yang memberikan pengaruh yang cukup besar dalam setiap kebijakan pemerintahan. Peranan media Massa di Amerika Serikat dianggap dapat mempengaruhi pembuatan suatu kebijakan pemerintah terkait suatu isu. Penulis mengunakan metdoe kualitatif dengan coding perangkat lunak NVivo melibatkan pengumpulan data kualitatif, seperti wawancara, transkrip, & dokumen. Kemudian mengidentifikasi, mengkategorikan, dan menganalisis pola dalam data tersebut melalui penggunaan kode atau label. Hasilnya adalah VOA lebih dominan menerbitkan berita terkait gagasan eksepsionalisme dalam konteks The Missionary Nation yakni 80% dan Exemplar Nation sekitar 20% sedangkan The Strategist 77.27% The Missionary Nation & 22,73% untuk Exemplar Nation. Ini menunjukan bahwa Media Amerika (Voice of Amerika) mendominasi mengangkat isu isu terkait ide/gagasan eksepsionalisme dibandingkan The Startegist sebagai media massa online dari Australia dan aktor yang mendominasi dalam kebijakan ini adalah Presdien Donald Trump.
