This research was aimed to find out whether there is a significant effect of using Fun Classroom Debate (FCD) on students' speaking ability. The method of this research was experimental research in quantitative approach. The sample of this research was eleventh grade students of SMA Swasta Budi Agung Medan, which consisted of 80 students divided into two classes, the experimental class and the control class as sample. The experimental class was taught by using Fun Classroom Debate (FCD), while the control class was taught byusing conventional method. The data was obtained using pre-test and post-test. Pre-test was given to both classes before treatment and post-test was given after treatment. Then, the instrument used to collect the data was oral test in the form of debate. The data were analyzed by using SPSS statistic 25. The result of the study showed that the mean of post-test in control class was 78.80 while the mean score of post-test in experimental class was 93.60. Based on the criteria of hypothesis test that is sig. 2 tailed (p) was 0,000 was lower than alpha (α) 0,05. It means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) which was proposed by the writer that there is significant effect of the students’ ability in English speaking that were taught by using Fun Classroom Debate (FCD) is accepted and then Nul Hypothesis (Ho) is rejected.
